Job Title: Graphic Designer

Position Summary:
Faith United Methodist Church of Spring, Texas, is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our ministry team. This part-time, salaried position (10 hours per week) is responsible for creating clear, visually engaging graphics that support the church’s mission and enhance communication across digital and print media.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create informational graphics for church events and ministries to be shared on:
- Church website
- Social media platforms
- Weekly e-newsletters to the congregation
- Design graphics for print materials, including:
- Weekly Sunday bulletin
- Flyers, brochures, and printed materials for special events
- Develop creative designs for special occasions such as:
- Christmas and Easter worship
- Banners, t-shirts, and promotional posters for church events
- Create master templates on an occasional basis to support other staff, including:
- Prayer cards, connect cards, and pledge cards
- E-newsletter, to be updated each week by other staff
Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Canva Pro is required
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and MailChimp are preferred
- Portfolio of previous design work
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, layout, and typography
- Experience designing for both digital and print formats
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments with grace and adaptability
- Experience in a church or nonprofit environment
- Alignment with the mission and values of Faith United Methodist Church
